PSSR 2000
Boiler certificates should be issued annually for espresso machines older than 14 months in commercial settings to meet the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR 2000).
Inspections are typically best performed during planned preventative maintenance or a front-end service, however we can inspect boilers at any time.
The boilers are tested and checked to ensure they are sufficiently strong and in good condition to withstand the internal hot water and steam pressure.
We work with Espress Test to carry out these inspections and provide you with a Written Scheme of Examination to ensure your machine is safe to use and compliant with health and safety legislation.
If you own or operate an espresso machine, it is a legal requirement to have it annually inspected in accordance with the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000.
